2017 Camberwell Arts Festival

Deadline: 20th February 2017

Camberwell Arts are developing a funding application to Arts Council England to commission up to 10 artists to create new work as part of this year’s Camberwell Arts Festival.

We are inviting local artists to collaborate with us at the application stage by submitting ideas for projects you would like to develop.  Shortlisted artists will be consulted throughout the application process and will have the opportunity to approve the final version before it is submitted.  Please note, however, that selection by Camberwell Arts does not guarantee funding, as this will depend on a successful outcome of our Grants for the Arts application to the Arts Council.

The Camberwell Arts Festival aims to take art out of the studio and into the street and we are looking for new work that celebrates Camberwell and has the potential to engage audiences in new ways.  We welcome proposals from a range of artistic disciplines as well as experimental approaches and work-in-progress.  We anticipate that most commissions will be for £1,000 or under but are happy to discuss proposals that cost more if there is potential for a long-term legacy for Camberwell.

The 2017 Camberwell Arts Festival will take place from 10th – 18th June and selected artists must be available to install their work during the week commencing 5th June.

To apply, please send a short description of the project you would like to develop (including outline costs), your artist’s statement, images of previous works and contact details to:
