Light Intervention
Over the past six months. We have been developing a series of site-specific Light Interventions, using dancers/performers to produce impromptu, guerrilla light performances within London's urban landscape. Light Interventions is developed through monthly ad-hoc performances along London's Southbank throughout 2008. These performance location is constantly changing, ranging from the riverbank of the Thames to the cluster of trees that surround Tate Modern. Camberwell arts Festival are bringing Light Intervention to the alleys, bus stops and benches of Camberwell on Saturday 21st June from 11pm.
Statement
Our work work can only be viewed in the act of the live experience.
Through performance we explore situations that fall between dance and the everyday situated in public locations.
We produce direct live public interactions that provoke questions of norms / conventions within an urban environment.
