For the 3rd year running, ORTUS are delighted to confirm participation in the iconic Open House London. Everyone is invited to visit the multi-award winning ORTUS learning and event centre in Camberwell on Saturday the 19th. We will be open from 10am until 5pm.
(* Please note, we will not be open on the Day 2 of Open House, Sunday the 20th September.)
Open House London 2015 is a unique opportunity to see, explore and learn about amazing architecture and design in your borough and across London over one weekend. More than 800 buildings of all kinds will open their doors across London, alongside a programme of neighbourhood walks, engineering and landscape tours, cycle rides and experts’ talks – all for free.
Café at the ORTUS will be open serving our usual delicious fare so it’s a great opportunity to enjoy lunch, a delicious coffee and some scrummy cake.
We will also have some representatives from our intrepid architects, Duggan Morris Architects on hand to answer any questions and provide tours for those who have a more in depth interest in architecture and of course plenty of our friendly staff will be available to chat.
There will also be an opportunity to view our current art installation Superabundant – an exhibition of recent work of Jan Arden and Phil Baird.
Open House states that their aim is “to help change perceptions, break down barriers and inspire people”. We at Maudsley Learning see similarity with our aims as we too want to help change perceptions and break down barriers in the field of mental health and wellbeing.
